With all its 150 local stores donating unsold grocery to people in need, Tesco Slovakia has demonstrated its leading role in the fight against food waste. Thanks to its long-term collaboration with Food Bank of Slovakia and its local partners, Tesco has donated more than 3000 tonnes of unsold grocery to people in need. In only two years, the Slovak branch of the chain has decreased its food waste by 52%, gaining official acclaim from the UN and a reputation as a positive example.
