As of Monday, political parties, movements and coalitions have not officially submitted any slates for the 2020 general election, even though the deadline will expire at midnight on Sunday, December 1, wrote the TASR press agency. Slates can contain up to 150 names and submitting them entails paying a deposit of €17,000. This will be returned to parties that obtain at least 2% of the votes. The 2020 general election is scheduled for February 29. The official campaign was launched on November 5. Parties are allowed to spend up to €3 million including VAT on it.
