Slovak paralympians have started the 11th Winter Paralympic Games in Sochi successfully. Team Slovakia, which defends 11 medals from Vancouver 2010, has two gold medals and one silver medal from the first two days of the Paralympic competition – they all come from the alpine skiing for the visually impaired.
Henrietta Farkašová won gold in women’s downhill, Jakub Krako won gold in men’s Super G and quite surprisingly, Miroslav Haraus placed 2nd in the men’s downhill competition.
