No coalition of opposition for election

Opposition parties have not agreed on creating an electoral coalition ahead of next year's general election. The leader of the For the People party Andrej Kiska informed at a press conference that his party would run in the elections alone. He insisted that OLANO and Christian Democrats join the Block of Change he proposed. Kiska does not see any sense in the coalition PS/Together, For the People and Freedom and Solidarity since the votes of OLANO and Christian Democrats could be wasted. Representatives of the Christian Democratic Movement confirmed for the Pravda daily that they are not participating in the negotiations concerning the possible joint coalition and the party's decision taken at the weekend to stand in the elections alone is still valid. Freedom and Solidarity leader Richard Sulik explained that they wanted to join the coalition "because we understand people's demands and feel responsibility for our country." Nevertheless, he confirmed his party would enter the elections alone.
