The Interior Ministry is launching open days at information offices for crime victims, with the information office on Tomášikova Street in Bratislava being the first to take part on Wednesday and the remaining seven set to do so over the next few days. Information offices for crime victims have been operating in all eight regional capitals in Slovakia since last year. They provide a number of services, such as specialised counselling, accompanying victims to criminal proceedings, legal aid and legal representation, and social and economic counselling. The assistance is primarily intended for the elderly and for victims of hate crimes, extremism and human trafficking.
