The Supreme Audit Office (NKU) has reported that the Defence and Interior Ministries have unlawfully sold more than 400 service flats to their tenants at far below market prices. On Monday it called on the two ministries to stop the sales, stating that it has announced its findings to the police. The Interior Ministry reacted to the accusations by quoting a verdict of the Supreme Court, which stated that it was possible to sell the flats in line with relevant law. The Interior Ministry added, however, that it suspended the sale of flats in 2017. The Defence Ministry also stated that it has stopped the sale of flats.
