The Government will submit measures aimed at cleansing the judiciary in a fast-tracked procedure during the nearest Parliamentary session, said Prime Minister Peter Pellegrini (Smer-SD) on Saturday. According to him the Cabinet, in cooperation with the Interior Ministry and Police, is thus attempting to contribute towards the restoration of public trust in the state. In recent months, media have been reporting about alleged links between controversial businessman Marián Kočner and politicians, and representatives of police and the judiciary. Kočner is suspected of ordering the murder of journalist Ján Kuciak.
