Slovak Route 66 could stretch from Adriatic to Baltic see

There is a plan to extend the I/66 regional road, also called SK Route 66, to other European countries. On Thursday, the representatives of the Slovak Association Route 66 are meeting with foreign partners in Šahy. The I/66 road that leads from the town of Šahy to the village of Telgárt was officially named the SK Route 66 in 2011, with the aim of popularizing and bringing some economic benefits to the regions. According to the president of the Slovak Association of Route 66 Juraj Smrečan, the extended I / 66 with a length of 270 kilometers currently connects the borders of Slovakia with Hungary and Poland. Now they plan to stretch the route to the shores of the Baltic and Adriatic seas. This will create an important European tourist corridor.
