Defence cooperation between Slovaks and Czechs is high

Defence cooperation between Slovakia and the Czech Republic is at a high level, said Slovak Defence Minister Peter Gajdoš (Slovak National Party/SNS) after speaking to his Czech counterpart Lubomír Metnar during the meeting between the Governments of Slovakia and the Czech Republic in Valtice, the Czech Republic on Monday (November 11), according to the ministry's website. The defence minister highlighted the possibility of joint training and education for members of the armed forces of both countries, either as a part of studies at the University of Defence in Brno, or on an international course for ISOC staff officers at the General M.R. Štefánik Armed Forces Academy in Liptovský Mikuláš (Zilina region). The defence ministers also praised the progress made in efforts to ensure the inviolability of common airspace beyond the NATO Integrated Air Defence and Missile Defence System (NATINAMDS).
