The announced merger of PSA Peugeot and Fiat Chrysler will not affect the functioning of the French brand in Slovakia, according to PSA spokesperson Peter Svec. The French carmaker has a plant in Trnava in Western Slovakia. The transaction has not yet been finalized, with negotiations on a possible merger still ongoing. The companies have already issued a communiqué confirming the merger project for both groups, the result of which should be the fourth largest car manufacturer in the world.
