Minimum social security contributions paid by self-employed individuals will increase by €9.78 to €167.89 per month from the beginning of January of next year. This is due to the fact that the average wage in Slovakia increased to €1,013 last year and the minimum assessment base for self-employed persons for payment of social security contributions is linked to the average gross wage of employees.
