Prosecutor-General Jaromír Čižnár has been screened in police databases almost 200 times during his tenure. News broken by television channel JOJ on Tuesday was confirmed by the Prosecutor-General's Office spokesperson Andrea Predajňová. According to her, Čižnár considers the finding absurd and as something that should not happen in a country where the rule of law applies. According to the information at the disposal by TV JOJ, controversial businessman Marián Kočner and ex-Slovak Intelligence Service member Peter Tóth could be involved in the screenings. Criminal proceedings in this matter should be launched soon and the Interior Ministry's inspectorate should also be involved.
