Slovak in International Academy of Astronautics

Jan Balaz, a researcher of the Department of the Space Physics of the Slovak Academy of Sciences, has become a member of the International Academy of Astronautics at a special ceremony held in Washington. "I consider my membership not only to be a personal success but mainly the success of the whole team working in our department, which has been dealing with space research and engineering for 50 years since its establishment in 1969," said Balaz. As he added, the Department of Space Physics has been consistently participating in missions out into the Universe.
