Deputy Speaker of Parliament Martin Glváč (SMER-SD) and Marián Kočner, the businessman accused of ordering journalist Ján Kuciak's murder, exchanged around 900 chat messages from 2014 to 2016. Allegedly, the two communicated about candidates for the deputy director of the Slovak intelligence service as well as what the government that came out of the 2016 elections would look like. Leader of the opposition movement Ordinary People and Independent Personalities (OĽANO) Igor Matovič published on Wednesday further transcripts of alleged communications between Kočner and Glváč. "Glváč had served a Mafioso," said Matovič. In reaction to these allegations, Glváč has filed a criminal complaint for blackmail against Matovič and urges Matovič to stop his criminal activity and disclose his source.
