The police are planning to launch a fully automated ordering system for foreigners over the next few weeks, the spokeswoman for the Police Corps Presidium Denisa Bardyova told the media. She also informed of a new feature, namely the choice of a date and the electronic filling in of applications without the need for manual recording. "The essence will not only be making an appointment for a specific date and hour, but also the possibility of filling in the applications electronically so that it no longer has to be manually recorded by the police directly at the Foreign Police workplace," the Director of the Border and Foreign Police Ladislav Csemi wrote on a social network. The number of applications for residence has increased on average by 30 percent per year. The new measures are designed to streamline and speed up the process. The police have already taken several steps in connection with the increase in the number of applications. These include, for example, the reconstruction of several departments, the launch of the so-called nation-wide processing centre in Kosice as well as the introduction of a system of personnel assistance by police officers according to the load.
