Inflation in Slovakia at 2.9% in September

Year-on-year inflation in Slovakia amounted to 2.9% in September, with core inflation standing at 2.6% and net inflation at 2%, the Slovak Statistics Office reported on Monday. In September 2019, month-on-month cumulative inflation was positively influenced by core inflation by 0.19 percentage points (p.p.), while regulated prices had a negative impact of 0.06 p.p. Indirect taxes had no effect on cumulative inflation. Food prices influenced core inflation by 0.06 p.p. and net inflation had an impact of 0.13 p.p. on core inflation.
