In the ongoing exodus from the opposition Freedom and Solidarity party, more members of the party's so-called Democratic Core platform have announced they are leaving - namely, party vice-chair Ľubomír Galko, MPs Jozef Rajtár, Miroslav Ivan, Vladimír Sloboda, Renáta Kaščáková, Radoslav Pavelka, and party member Pavol Kubiš, it was learnt from their social network posts on Wednesday. "I joined politics to fight corruption and improve lives of people in Slovakia. I don't see any room for me in Freedom and Solidarity anymore to pursue these noble objectives," wrote Galko. Other members have also left the party or been forced out in recent days. The departures come in the wake of a rift between party chairman Richard Sulík and vice-chair Ľubomír Galko over the so-called Democratic Core's intentions to challenge Sulík as party chairman.
