Analysis: Education in Slovakia is not available to all

One of the key problems of the Slovak education system is that education in Slovakia is not available to everyone at all levels. This is one of the main findings from a complex research carried out by the MESA10 non-governmental initiative. The aim of the survey was to define the causes of the current state of the education system in Slovakia and to propose changes therein. According to Renáta Hall, analyst and director of the initiative, almost everyone gets into college today, but access to early childhood education and care programs is limited. The analysis points also to problems of bullying at Slovak schools, insufficient inclusion of children with disabilities or low motivation of teachers within the system.
