The police are looking into statements on the topic of drugs made by Michal Truban, the leader of non-parliamentary party Progresivne Slovensko, at the Manager Expo conference in 2012, TASR press agency reported on Monday. Video footage capturing Truban's lecture was published by the Dennik N daily in mid-August. In the video, Truban speaks, among other things, about "brain hacking", listing things such as "booze, marihuana, cocaine, LSD, cigarettes and chocolate." "These drugs are cool software that hack, dumb down our brains and we become successful in certain areas thanks to them," he said, adding that he was researching "these substances" as a university student. Truban has since publicly apologised for his past actions. He claims that his words on drugs were taken out of context from a lecture in which he talked to students about his business experience that he began while at university.
