As many as 75% of Slovaks believe that the country benefits from its membership of the European Union, indicate the results of the Eurobarometer survey. They see the main benefits in new job opportunities and support for economic growth. The respondents also believe that EU membership also adds to peace, keeps safety, increases the standard of living and improves cooperation between the members of the Union. On the scale of the entire union, 68% of EU citizens believe that their country benefits from their membership of the Union.
