Slovaks excel in borrowing money

The financially excellent year 2017 was followed by the financially unfavourable year 2018 when the financial assets of households declined worldwide. Slovaks hold a record in the region in terms of borrowing, the 10th Allianz Global Wealth Report 2019 which analyzed the financial assets and debts of households in 53 countries showed. The report also showed that the Czechs increased their leap compared to the Slovaks in terms of wealth. The value of the Slovaks' financial assets is around 13,600 euros, the Czech has 23,400 euros. Slovaks are not topping the chart in terms of savings either. The value of their savings is the second lowest among 11 Eastern Europe countries. Slovaks ranked 40th among 53 countries. In contrast, the report showed that the Slovaks excel in borrowing money.
