Growing number of Austrian companies in Slovakia

The number of Austrian companies selling goods in Slovakia is growing every year, and there is huge interest in investing in Slovakia, the Commercial Counsellor of the Austrian Embassy in Slovakia Hans Christian Kuegerl told TASR. Kuegerl cited the automotive industry and supplies for its needs as an example of an industry that is interesting for entrepreneurs from both countries, as well as in the wider region. "The proximity of Austria and Slovakia alone will have an influence on the fact that there is a big opportunity for further favourable development and cooperation," said Kuegerl, adding that Slovakia is one of Austria's most important trading partners. The number of Austrians and Slovaks working in each other's countries as well as the implementation of business projects attest to this, he added.
