Slovak Foreign Affairs Minister Miroslav Lajčák (nominated by Smer-SD) will be one of the speakers at a conference entitled 30 Years of Democratic Change in Central Europe on Friday (20 September) in New York, following the GLOBSEC International Advisory Committee meeting. The conference is expected to be attended by political leaders, government officials, the business environment and international relations experts from Central Europe and the United States. One of the key speakers at the conference will be former US Secretary of State Madeleine Albright. "The organizers will present awards to celebrities who have made an extraordinary contribution to the spread of freedom and democracy in Central European countries," the ministry said.
