The Cabinet continued its trip through eastern Slovakia on Wednesday by sitting down in the village of Čaňa (Košice region) to discuss an action plan for the development of the area immediately surrounding Košice. The Cabinet members also assembled in Giraltovce (Prešov region) on Wednesday afternoon. They have decided to allocate almost €1.3 million to two towns and several villages, in order to build, for example, a day-care centre and a barrier-free ramp to access a community centre, and to reconstruct roads damaged by floods. The district of Svidník is officially listed by the Cabinet as an under-developed region.
