Slovak pupils take 2nd place in auto competition

A team of Slovak elementary schoolers from Martin (Žilina region) came in second place at the International Automobile Federation's (FIA) children's educational competition focused on road safety rules, beating twenty other teams from eighteen countries, the Education Ministry reported on Tuesday. The event took place on September 12-15 in Switzerland. The Slovak pupils qualified for it by winning a nation-wide competition in Slovakia called "Safe Cycling 2019". The teams competed in various disciplines. Two of them tested their cycling technique involving obstacles in a limited space, while another tested their ability to cycle through a maze. The Slovak team scored 584 points and was second only to the team from the Czech Republic.
