The associations of hospitals, private doctors, and health insurance companies, as well as the largest platform of patient organisations, have all signed a memorandum on Wednesday asking the Government for an extra €150 million in funding for this year. They argue that their labour costs have increased - due to the introduction of higher pay for weekend and night shifts, and holiday vouchers for employees - while funding for the healthcare budget has not.
