New parking system in Petržalka

New parking system in Petržalka

On Monday the local council in Bratislava's largest borough of Petržalka approved a proposal for a generally binding regulation (VZN) on the temporary parking of cars within its territory. The goal of the proposal is to give preference to those having permanent residence in the borough, who will be allowed free parking at designated parking spaces. The new parking rules will come into effect November 1st and will be introduced first in the Dvory area and gradually throughout the entire territory of Petržalka. A total of 26,000 such parking places will be marked with blue lines and a sign informing drivers about a regulated parking lot. Before the introduction of a new city-wide parking policy in 2021, the borough wants to identify as many parking spaces as possible.
