On Saturday, the Slovak slalom canoeist Matej Benuš won the fifth round of the 2019 C1 Canoe Slalom World Cup final in Prague, the Czech Republic, sealing the first place in the overall World Cup standing for the third time in his career. Benuš came ahead of second Russia's Kirill Setkin and Luka Božić of Slovenia. "I am glad, since this victory is important from the viewpoint of internal qualification for the Olympics. The triumph in the World Cup is an extra bonus," said the 31-year-old sportsman following the race.
