On Wednesday the Slovak government approved the sending of six more members of the Slovak Armed Forces to Afghanistan to increase the Slovak presence at the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) mission where Slovakia currently has 291 soldiers.
These 6 soldiers are to provide support to communication and information systems at the ISAF command posts. Almost 90,000 soldiers and experts from various countries are taking part in the operation in Afghanistan. Currently the mission is in its final stage of handover to Afghan authorities.
