The employers of the local bus carrier Arriva Nitra announced an indefinite strike that is to start on September 2 at 3:45. They are going on strike after representatives of employees and of the employer have been striving to agree on the tariff wage hike for bus drivers since early 2019. The proceedings before a mediator were to no avail either. Trade unions declared their willingness to negotiate with the employer later on this week.
