Deputy Justice Minister hands in mobile phone to police

Justice Ministry spokesperson Zuzana Drobová confirmed for TASR on Thursday that State Secretary Monika Jankovská had handed over her mobile phone to the police. The spokesperson added that Jankovská was cooperating fully with the law-enforcement authorities, and if need be she was willing to be questioned, but the police had not yet requested this. Charged entrepreneur Marian Kočner called Jankovská his "little pet monkey" in his chats with Alena Zsuzsová, another suspect in ordering the murder of investigative journalist Ján Kuciak and his fiancée Martina Kušnírová. According to information in the Slovak media, Kočner wrote to Zsuzsová adding that he wanted Jankovská to become justice minister. The police have not yet commented on the contents of the seized mobile phone, explaining that given the current state of the ongoing investigation, they do not want to provide further information.
