Coalition to meet over hospital stratification reform

The Cabinet on Wednesday approved a draft amendment to the Law on Healthcare Providers, Healthcare Professionals, and Healthcare Professional Organizations submitted by Health Minister Andrea Kalavská. At the same time, they omitted the part of the draft that dealt with the actual hospital stratification reform. Parties of the governing coalition want to discuss the reform at the Coalition Council meeting. The opposition parties are criticising the governing coalition for the overall messy situation around the hospital reform. They consider it unacceptable that such a highly professional topic as hospital stratification has become a tool in a political struggle. By the end of September, Kalavská should try to find a broad consensus with the political parties that is necessary to adopt such a reform.
