Poll: Smer on top, followed by Progresivne Slovensko–Spolu and LSNS

If a parliamentary election had been held in mid-August, the largest party of the governing coalition Smer-SD would have come out on top with 20.8 percent of the votes, followed by the Progresivne Slovensko-Spolu coalition on 14.9 percent and the far-right People's Party Our Slovakia(LSNS) on 12.1 percent. Fourth place would have been claimed by Freedom and Solidarity (SaS) on 7.9 percent, followed by the Christian Democratic Movement (KDH) on 7.3 percent, the Slovak National Party (SNS) on 7 percent, We Are Family (6.6 percent) and OLaNO (6.1 percent). The last party to make it into Parliament above the required 5-percent threshold would have been the fledgling For the People (5.5 percent). The junior member of the governing coalition, Most -Hid, would not have made it into Parliament. The poll was conducted between August 13th and August 19th.
