Bratislava Mayor Matuš Vallo suggested that the city could receive several tens of millions of euro from the state each year at a meeting with Prime Minister Peter Pellegrini on Tuesday. "We're looking for ways to do this without having to open the law on Bratislava. We also discussed simplifying the process related to changing one's permanent residence and about getting real data on the number of people having their permanent residence in Bratislava, which is the basis for tax revenues for the city," said Vallo. The Cabinet should deal with a proposal of possible solutions in individual areas at one of its autumn sessions. The Government will focus only on Bratislava's problems at the meeting.
