Police Chief: I stand behind every legal police decision

Police Corps President Milan Lučanský stands behind every legal police decision, and the National Crime Agency (NAKA) enjoys his confidence, said police spokesperson Michal Slivka in reaction to a press conference by the special prosecutors investigating journalist Ján Kuciak's murder. One of them confirmed that Nitra-based oligarch Norbert Bödör who was in contact with Marian Kočner, was supposed to be detained, but because he was tipped off that the police were planning to move in on him, the arrest warrant had to be cancelled. Furthermore, the prosecutor added that they are investigating the criminal activities of state and judicial authorities in connection with the investigation into the murder of journalist Ján Kuciak and his fiancee, which Marian Kočner has been charged with ordering. Lučanský stated that NAKA head Branislav Zurian had adopted active measures to prevent leaks at the very beginning of the Kuciak murder investigation.
