The constitutional court will compensate four Roma men for undue delays. 13 years ago, they appealed to the general courts after having been refused to be served in a local pub. The injured party consider their racial origin to be the reason for the act. The district court in Vranov nad Topľou and the regional court in Prešov have not come to a decision on the case for 13 years. Moreover, the Vranov nad Topľou district court had not provided the Constitutional court with complementary material for 4 years. The constitutional court has now ordered that the general courts were unduly drawing out proceedings. Each of the injured parties will be paid €1000.
