The head of the investigative police team 'Novinár' had to leave his post after his name appeared in the leaked chats with the controversial businessman Marián Kočner, wrote the Aktuality.sk portal on Wednesday. The team 'Novinár' was established in January 2019 with the aim of looking into cases documented by murdered journalist Ján Kuciak. Kočner is accused of ordering the murder. In the transcripts, Kočner allegedly discussed assigning specific cases to specific prosecutors with the security entrepreneur Norbert Bödör, who is a relative of the former Police Corps President, Tibor Gašpar, who resigned from his post last year.
