In Slovakia revenues from the sale of motor vehicles grew by 7.1% in the first half of 2019 year-on-year, according to the Statistics Office. Moreover, in the sales of spare and accessories for motor vehicles the office recorded a rise by 10% and in the repair and maintenance of motor vehicles by 2.3%. Thanks to this phenomenon, revenues from the sale and repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles also recorded uptick of 6.0% in the first six months of 2019.
Revenues from the sale and repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles in June notched up the first yearly decrease this year as they dropped by 0.9%, chiefly due to a 2-percent decrease in the repair and maintenance of motor vehicles. Revenues from the sale of motor vehicles remained unchanged compared to June 2018. Revenues from the sale of spare parts and accessories for motor vehicles increased by 1.3% y-o-y.
