Unemployment in Slovakia remains at stable level

The unemployment rate in Slovakia in June was 5.4%, which is the same figure as the one from the previous month. This stems from the data published on Wednesday by the EU's Statistical Office - Eurostat. The Slovak unemployment rate is lower than the average rate of the eurozone or of the EU as a whole. Among the countries that pay with the euro, the unemployment rate fell by 0.1%, from 7.6% to 7.5%, thus reaching the lowest rate since July 2008. The EU-wide unemployment rate stagnated at 6.3% month-on-month. The lowest unemployment rate in the EU was recorded in the Czech Republic, namely 1.9%.
