University Hospital Martin's Neurology Clinic (UNM) has received three ESO Angeles Awards from the European Stroke Organization (ESO) on Wednesday. The awards are annually handed out to hospitals around the world to acknowledge excellent stroke care and to honor those who go above and beyond in their care for their patients. According to Vladimír Nosáľ of the Neurology Clinic in Martin, the award is an acknowledgment of the whole team and their ability to help patients with acute stroke. "At the same time, the award is a challenge for us to keep improving so that the provision of health care to such severely disabled patients continues to progress," Nosáľ said.
