Elections likely in February 2020

Parliamentary Chair and head of the Slovak National Party (SNS) Andrej Danko has stated that the 2020 general election will probably take place on February 29, and that the coalition agreement between his party, Smer-SD and Most-Hid will expire six months before the election. He said that in spite of this and of the many disagreements between the coalition members, they need to continue to make efforts to find agreement, as this will be to the benefit of all the parties.
