As part of her two-day visit to France, Slovak president Zuzana Čaputová on Thursday laid a wreath by the statue of the Slovak diplomat Milan Rastislav Štefánik, who was a member of the French army in WWI. Štefánik, as a symbol of Slovak-French ties was also brought up on Wednesday afternoon, when the Slovak head of state was received by the French president Emanuel Macron.
