Foreign Minister Miroslav Lajcak was one of the key speakers at the conference "The United States and Central Europe: Celebrating Europe Whole and Free" in Washington on Wednesday. At the same time, he welcomed the renewed commitment to bolster the ceasefire deal in eastern Ukraine. It was arranged by the contact group in Minsk starting at midnight on 21 July. Lajcak as the incumbent OSCE President pointed out that the number of killed civilians living along the contact line is increasing and bolstering the ceasefire is as important as its securing.
