The LGBTI Rainbow Pride March, due to be held in Bratislava on Saturday (July 20), will receive support from some MPs, such as SaS caucus chair Natalia Blahova, whereas lawmakers of We Are Family party plan to attend a simultaneous Proud of Family protest.
Most-Hid party leaves the decision to attend either of the marches up to the conscience of individual MPs. Neither President Zuzana Caputova nor Prime Minister Peter Pellegrini (Smer-SD) will attend any of the protest marches, although Parliamentary Chair Andrej Danko (SNS) is gearing up to participate in the family pride event.
