Statistics: Consumer prices in June up 2.6 percent Y-o-Y

Consumer prices in Slovakia increased by 2.6 percent year-on-year in June, the Statistics Office reported on Monday. Prices in individual categories increased mostly in housing and energy - 4.1 percent; in restaurants and hotels - 4 percent; in food and non-alcoholic beverages - 3.9 percent. Prices in transport dropped by 2.3 percent. In month-to-month terms prices grew by 0.1 percent in total. Prices in the first six months on average increased 2.5 percent y-o-y.
