Most-Hid's low approval is cost of being in Government

Junior ruling coalition party Most-Hid suffers from low political approval ratings because it cooperates in the government with Smer-SD and the Slovak National Party (SNS), according to Justice Minister Gabor Gal, a leading figure in the party. The latest opinion survey conducted by Focus agency in June left Most-Hid outside the parliament's gates, with the support of a mere 4.5 percent of respondents. However, Gal says that they are still satisfied within the party with how much of their program they have managed to get through. The party is considering opening up its list of candidates before parliamentary elections and offering places on it to smaller regional or minority parties with whom they are still negotiating.
