The Slovak Cabinet at its last regular session before the summer break on Wednesday recommended that Parliament and President Zuzana Čaputová approve the EU-Japan Strategic Partnership Agreement (SPA) as a legal basis for improving bilateral and multilateral cooperation, according to the Slovak Foreign Ministry. The agreement deals with cooperation in spheres such as climate change, research and innovation, maritime issues, education, culture, migration, and in combating terror, organised crime and cyber-crime. It also promotes democracy, the rule of law, human rights and fundamental freedoms.
