Slovakia disappointingly fulfils recommendations of the Group of States Against Corruption - in short GRECO regarding transparency of political funding. The country was assessed in this way at the plenary GRECO meeting in October of last year, which was its third assessment already.
The problem is that Slovakia still has not enacted a new election code, reads an article on this in the daily Pravda. GRECO set a new deadline for the country to fulfil its expectations. According to a report approved by the Cabinet, the new deadline is 31 July of this year.
