Three locals in a Roma settlement in Letanovce were apprehended by Police for the theft of 38 chickens from a poultry farm near the eastern Slovak village of Spišské Tomášovce.
“The suspects have admitted committing the crime. Ivan, 17 years old and Stefan and Frantisek, both 18 years old, broke into the farm three times over the past week”, said Alexander Szabó, the Košice regional police spokesperson. The trio reportedly stole a total of 38 broiler chickens which have all since been consumed. If found guilty of the theft, the 17 year old minor could face a year in prison, whereas the two 18 year olds could both face up to two years.
