Liberals want to allow Slovaks to vote from abroad

The opposition Freedom and Solidarity (SaS) party has presented a bill to Parliament that would allow Slovak citizens living abroad to participate in domestic elections at Slovak embassies and consulates. It would allow citizens living abroad to participate in general elections, European Parliament elections, presidential elections, referendums and plebiscites on recalling the president. The legislation would also allow such citizens to mail their votes to any Slovak diplomatic mission abroad, which would then collect the post and send it to the Interior Ministry, which would subsequently distribute it among municipalities.
